REPRESENTATIVES FROM BALTIC INTERNATIONAL ACADEMY VISIT THE UMH

Professors Valerijs Nikiforovs and Karina Ostapenias from the Baltic International Academy (BIA) of Riga, Latvia visited the Miguel Hernández University of Elche on April 18 to learn more about the quality accreditation system at the Elche institution.

The Latvian university representatives were welcomed by Inmaculada Blaya, director of the Service of International Relations, Development Cooperation and Volunteerism. David León, director of the UMH Service of Quality, showed them the quality accreditation operations and the computer applications used by said service.

Due to interest shown by professor Karina Ostapenias to delve further into research topics related to psychology, Juan Carlos Marzo, director of the UMH Health Psychology Department, met with professor Ostapenias and they discussed scientific publications in the field of psychology.

Both universities maintain a collaboration agreement as part of the Erasmus+ program, which permits mobility between undergraduate students of journalism, fine arts, and business administration and management.
