SHOOTING OF THE FIRST SHORT FROM THE INTERNATIONAL STUDENT FILM PROJECT WRAPS

Participants in the International Student Film Project have finished shooting their first short film, in which 25 undergraduate audiovisual communication students from the Universidad de las Californias Internacional (México), University of Beira Interior (Portugal), and UMH took part. The short, entitled Cuando venga a por mí, will be screened on Friday, July 28 at 5 p.m. in the Salón de Grados in the Arenales building on the Elche Campus.

Filming took place within a home in Murcia, at the Vinalopó University Hospital, in addition to the Elche Campus. Children enrolled in the UMH Summer School participated in the latter location as six-year-old extras, and they provided life and realism to the short film. As such, the children were able to enjoy a day of filming both in front of and behind the cameras, and they were learned about the phases and means of making movies, in which more than 25 hours of work were invested.

The International Student Film Project is organized by the Audiovisual Communication program in conjunction with the Vice Rectorate for International Relations, Vice Rectorate for Culture and University Extension, Vice Rectorate for Student Affairs and Athletics, Elche International Festival of Independent Film (FICIE), Faculty of Social and Legal Sciences of Elche, and the Audiovisual Communication and Advertising Observatory research group.
