UMH ACQUIRES A TORDESILLAS DOCTORAL SCHOOL

The Miguel Hernández University of Elche (UMH), which last year joined the Tordesillas Group network of academic cooperation (comprised of academic entities from Brazil, Portugal, and Spain), has gained approval by the Coordination Committee of said entity for the Tordesillas Doctoral School (CDT) of Public Health and History of Science. Participating in this new doctoral school, coordinated by the UMH, will be the universities of Sao Paulo (Brazil) and Porto (Portugal), and it has been endowed with 18,000 € for a period of two years.

The Tordesillas Group has the mission of advancing, through the founding of these schools, academic and scientific collaboration between research groups or departments of the institutions that are network members, as well as facilitating student and faculty mobility. The creation of this CDT will undoubtedly increase the mobility and internationalization of our doctoral program, parameters that are lately gaining influence in national regulation and accreditation of graduate education.
