TORDESILLAS DOCTORAL SCHOOL OF PUBLIC HEALTH AND HISTORY OF SCIENCE ORGANIZES AN INTERNATIONAL SEMINAR

The Tordesillas Doctoral School of Public Health and History of Science, coordinated by the Miguel Hernández University of Elche, is organizing the International Seminar on Public Health and History of Science along with the University of Sao Paulo (Brazil) and Porto University (Portugal) to be held in Sao Paulo on February 19-20.

Event programming includes discussions on epidemiology, gender violence, reproductive rights and assisted reproduction, gynecology, infectious diseases, eugenics, health reforms, in addition to other social and historical issues concerning health. This seminar’s main objective is to identify common research and teaching interests in addition to promoting mobility of students, faculty, and university staff between the group’s universities.

This meeting is part of the academic and scientific cooperation actions by the Tordesillas Doctoral School for promoting international academic and scientific collaboration. Professors Ildefonso Hernández, Enrique Perdiguero, Sergio Padilla, and María Pastor from the UMH Faculty of Medicine, and Professor Henrique Barros from Porto University are traveling to Sao Paulo to participate in this seminar. Moreover, the event will hold video conferences with participation by faculty and investigators from the UMH, Porto University, and University of Sao Paulo. UMH community members may participate in the debates that will be held during the seminar in an online manner from the Meeting Room and/or Classroom 1 in the Balmis Building.
