WHAT IS THE BUDDY PROGRAM?
It is a program developed by the International Relations Office, in order to help exchange students to integrate socially and academically at the University Miguel Hernández.
The main intention with this programme is to secure that all new international students receive help and feedback by students at Miguel Hernández University, before, during and after they have settled in Spain. Another positive side to the Buddy Program is that it gives you (Spanish students or continuing international students) the opportunity to meet new people and to help them explore the city, the opportunity to make new friends and help them with everything that you had to discover when you moved here. This can also be a great opportunity to practice languages.
- Integration of exchange students at the university.
- To help exchange students adjust to the Spanish social and academic life.
- Enrichment of foreign language proficiency by both.
- Meeting new people from different countries, their language, their customs, their culture.

HOW TO CERTIFY THAT I HAVE BEEN BUDDY?
The International Office will request a report to the student who has been helped by you.
Save the e-mails you have exchanged with your foreign student. These e-mails along with the exchange student report will serve to justify that you have been Buddy.
