Among these was the Medal of Honor, which was presented to the Director of the UMH Headquarters in Rwanda Chair and former UMH associate professor, Mariano P\u00e9rez Arroyo. This distinction P\u00e9rez Arroyo earned for his efforts in development cooperation and consolidating the university\u2019s presence in Rwanda.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Mariano P\u00e9rez Arroyo is a neurophysiologist by training, and \u201cvillage doctor\u201d is how he describes himself.
