The Vice Rector for International Relations has welcomed 211 students to the Miguel Hern\u00e1ndez University of Elche during Fall Semester. Hailing from Europe, Latin America, and other Spanish provinces, these students have chosen this university as their destination for their Erasmus+, Destino, and SICUE mobility programs.<\/p>\n

Of this figure, 49.7% of incoming students to the UMH take advantage of the Erasmus+ European mobility program. Of the 18 countries that have agreements with the UMH, Italy, France, Germany, and Poland are the countries sending the most students. There are also others from Romania, Turkey, Slovenia, and Croatia on the list as well.<\/p>\n

Twenty-four percent of the exchange students at the UMH right now are here via the Destino program for mobility. This group of students has primarily traveled from countries including Mexico, Peru, Colombia, Chile, Brazil, Costa Rica, and Ecuador. During this same semester, a further 22% of our exchange students have come from other Spanish universities via the SICUE national mobility program.<\/p>\n

The remaining 4% of exchange students to the UMH have taken advantage as Visiting Students<\/a>. Separate from official mobility programs, arrangements, or interuniversity exchange agreements, these students take individual university courses and complete internships at this university.<\/p>\n

Already 119 of the incoming students, more than half of the total, have visited the Service of International Relations to process their stays at this university. For Spring Semester, the number of exchange students that the UMH will welcome on various exchange programs is expected to increase by some 26%. This number also includes students who are enrolled in dual degree programs<\/a> here.<\/p>\n
