\"\"<\/a>Conversations have begun between the Bachelor\u2019s in Audiovisual Communication (CAU) and Dual Bachelor’s in Audiovisual Communication and Journalism (CAUP) programs at the Miguel Hern\u00e1ndez University of Elche (UMH) about forging international agreements with the School of Film at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, in Greece, to establish joint projects.<\/p>\n

Francisco Juli\u00e1n Mart\u00ednez Cano, a UMH professor in the CAU program, met with Athanasia Stergiaki and Apostolos Karakasis from the School of Film to institute Erasmus+ European mobility agreements between both institutions, to be managed by the Vice Rectorate for International Relations.<\/p>\n

In addition to signing a framework agreement for carrying out international projects between both universities, the future incorporation by the School of Film into the International Student Film Project is worthy of mention. Current participants in this international project include the Bachelor\u2019s in Audiovisual Communication and Dual Bachelor\u2019s in Audiovisual Communication and Journalism at the UMH, and the undergraduate communication program at the International University of the Californias of Tijuana, Mexico.<\/p>\n

The School of Film at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki is one of Europe\u2019s most prestigious film schools, and the only film school of its kind in Greece. It has become a meeting place for young talent in the field of cinema, as well as for acclaimed professionals, who teach there either permanently or as visiting faculty to lecture.<\/p>\n

It attracts this talent by maintaining strong links with the community of cinematographers. Among others, it has had the honor of conferring honorary doctorates to emblematic figures of Greek cinema, including Michalis Cacoyannis, Pantelis Voulgaris, and Costa-Gavras.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, the School of Film possesses the geographical advantage of being located in Thessaloniki, so it offers the possibility of easily attending the Thessaloniki International Film Festival held there. This festival is held two times per year, and honors fiction movies in winter and documentaries in spring.<\/p>\n
