<\/a><\/span>The Miguel Hern\u00e1ndez University of Elche (UMH) has welcomed representatives from Wroc\u0142aw University of Environmental and Life Sciences (UPWr) for a third time. Both institutions are aiming to cap off this visit by signing an agreement to implement the joint master between the UMH and the Polish university, as well as advance initial activities to implement this double international program.<\/p>\nThe meeting with the Polish university representatives began in the Rectorado Building. Afterwards, the visitors toured the Elche Campus and UMH Scientific Park. They also met with UMH professor and Director General of Science and Research at the Generalitat Valenciana, \u00c1ngel Antonio Carbonell, to discuss future collaboration possibilities between both universities.<\/p>\n
The Polish visit is taking place July 12 – 15, and UMH participants include Vice Rector for International Relations, Vicente Micol; faculty from the UMH Master’s in Agro-Food Technology and Quality; Internationalization Director, Jos\u00e9 Manuel Blanes; faculty from the UMH Master’s in Agro-Food Technology and Quality; and staff from the Service of International Relations. <\/p>\n
The Polish contingent is led by Ma\u0142gorzata Korzeniowska, a professor from the Faculty of Biotechnology and Food Science and who is also a member of the program and its coordinator; Director of the Department of Admissions, Paulina Boro\u0144-Kacperek; and B\u00e1rbara \u017barowska, Dean of the Faculty of Biotechnology and Food Science at Wroc\u0142aw. Project members and faculty from that university are also present.<\/p>\n
On Wednesday, July 14, meetings between the two institutions continue with a visit to the Orihuela Campus. There, they will discuss strategies for cooperation, recruitment, and marketing.<\/p>\n
Finally, on Thursday, July 15, the master program will undergo SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) analysis and evaluation. Following this will be the agreement signing ceremony. Signing on behalf of the UMH include its rector, Juan Jos\u00e9 Ruiz, along with the Vice Rector for International Relations, Vicente Micol, which will implement the joint Master in Technology and Agro-Food Quality (at the UMH) and the B-Innova \u2013 Master in Food Technology (at the UPWr). <\/p>\n
This project is funded by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange through European funds that are part of the KATAMARAN program.<\/p>\n
