\"\"<\/a>The Vice Rectorate for International Relations, along with the Service of International Relations, Development Cooperation and Volunteerism, has just published the eighth issue of Global UMH<\/em> magazine. Highlights from it include special details on the 21st<\/sup> Meeting of Rectors of the Tordesillas Group, which on November 7 & 8 is discussing open science as a fundamental aspect in the transition towards accessible, global, and democratic knowledge.<\/p>\n

Global<\/em> UMH<\/em> magazine, edited by associate professor and Deputy Vice Rector for International Relations, Jos\u00e9 Luis Gonz\u00e1lez-Esteban, is published in both Spanish and English, and this edition will be given to the hundred attendees at the Meeting of Rectors. The first block in this periodical is dedicated exclusively to this event. Collaborators for this portion include UMH rector, Juan Jos\u00e9 Ruiz; Vice Rector for International Relations, Vicente Micol; and professors of medicine, Enrique Perdiguero and Mar\u00eda Pastor. These latter two individuals are also the coordinators for the Tordesillas Doctoral School of Public Health and History of Science. The magazine also features interesting interviews with recent recipient of the Spanish Ram\u00f3n Men\u00e9ndez Pidal National Prize of Research, Professor Daniel Innerarity; scientist and president of LA Referencia, Bianca Amaro (Brazil); Director of the Unit of Documentation and Library Services at the University of Minho, Eloy Rodrigues (Portugal); and with Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) researcher, Antonio Lafuente.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, this 72-page special edition of the magazine includes a block on cooperation and volunteerism endeavors that details, among other topics, the key moments from the recent trip by a UMH delegation to Rwanda. This issue also contains the habitual portion on mobility by students, faculty, and administrative & services personnel, as well as another dedicated to UMH internationalization that has restarted this year following the pandemic, with actions undergone in China, the Dominican Republic, Canada, Peru, Mexico.<\/p>\n

The contents of this most recent issue represent work by journalists, Sergio Murillo & Luis Sempere. The English version of this issue is the handiwork of Paul Nordstrom.<\/p>\n
