<\/a>UMH breaks records in Latin America at ‘Study in Spain’ fair, with participation by over 5,000 Peruvian and Colombian students\n<\/strong><\/h3>\n
Deputy Vice Rector for International Projection and Communication, Jos\u00e9 Luis Gonz\u00e1lez, following his stay in Lima and Bogot\u00e1, also highlights the framework agreement that is going to be signed with the National University of San Marcos, which is the top Peruvian institution in scientific production<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/strong><\/p>\n The UMH has broken records for participation at the \u2018Study in Spain\u2019 fair during stops in Per\u00fa and Colombia, which was attended by over 5,000 Peruvian and Colombian students interested in beginning or continuing higher education in Spain. This number was highlighted by Deputy Vice Rector for International Projection and Communication, Jos\u00e9 Luis Gonz\u00e1lez who, along with Service of Communication, Marketing and Student Services technician, Mar\u00eda Sempere, are representing the UMH on a Latin American tour.<\/p>\n What\u2019s more, the UMH stand provided academic guidance to over 1,000 students who are pursuing graduate-level education in the social sciences.<\/p>\n At an academic event in Bogot\u00e1, professor Jos\u00e9 Luis Gonz\u00e1lez spoke with the Spanish ambassador to Colombia, Joaqu\u00edn Mar\u00eda de Aristegui, who showed great interest in the main challenges of UMH internationalization in this part of Latin America.<\/p>\n Throughout these weeks, Gonz\u00e1lez and Sempere met with the Spanish Ambassador to Per\u00fa, Alejandro Abell\u00e1n Garc\u00eda de Diego; director of internationalization at the Spanish Service for the Internationalisation of Education, Jos\u00e9 Aurelio Llaneza; internationalization colleagues from the University of Granada; vice rector and future rector of the University of Lima, Patricia Stuart; and the rector of Cayetano Heredia University, Enrique Casta\u00f1eda.<\/p>\n Future agreement with the National University of San Marcos (Lima, Per\u00fa)<\/strong><\/p>\n Jos\u00e9 Luis Gonz\u00e1lez, following a meeting with the director of the Office of Cooperation and Interinstitutional Relations at the National University of San Marcos in Lima, Ana Gabriella Mansilla, explained that the UMH is going to sign a framework agreement with that entity. This public Peruvian university, which was founded in 1551, is thought to be the South American university, and it is the top Peruvian institution in terms of scientific production.<\/p>\n Furthermore, it is one of only three Peruvian universities to have been ranked first nationally there in certain editions of the most recognized international academic rankings.<\/p>\n The National University of San Marcos has 20 faculties grouped into five academic areas. It offers 65 undergraduate, 77 masters, and 27 doctoral programs, and is the Peruvian university that offers the most study programs, undergraduate and graduate alike.
