The students toured all the installations and learned of all their services, including training on cardiopulmonary resuscitation, Thiel cadavers, virtual reality training, and they visited the Experimental Surgery Room, a space equipped with innovative technology. <\/strong><\/div>\n

This morning, the UTSA Study Abroad students visited the Clinical Simulation Center. There, they learned firsthand about the services that this center provides, such as training on cardiopulmonary resuscitation, Thiel cadavers and the possibilities they afford, and they underwent training on virtual reality. They also visited the Debriefing Room and the Experimental Surgery Room, a space equipped with the latest equipment and technology. This visit enabled them to observe the functionality of the latest-generation mannequins.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

This activity was entirely guided, and explanations were provided by the director of the Cyborg Experimental Center, Fernando Borr\u00e1s; simulation technician, Juan Carlos Rodr\u00edguez; head of the Service of Atomic Innovation, Mar\u00eda Luz Campos; and by service technician, Rub\u00e9n Garc\u00eda.<\/div>\n

This week, the UTSA students also learned about the characteristics of medical training and primary care in Spain, the prevalence of chronic diseases in Spain, and the changes that are being introduced within the health system because of them. This educational offering was led by UMH Vice Rector for Planning and Social Responsibility and Professor of Medicine, Domingo Orozco, along with Health Sciences Part-time Lecturer, Juan Manuel Arriero.<\/p>\n

The 2024 edition of this study abroad program, its second, concludes next week with its module of Mediterranean Diet. Food Diversity and Health.<\/p>\n
