<\/a>A new project from the UMH SPRINT program, which included participation by Brazilian universities such as the USJT and USP (S\u00e3o Paulo), has successfully concluded, and by doing so, consolidated cooperation between the participating entities and enabled the formulation of innovative methodologies to improve physical education.<\/p>\nThis initiative, carried out by UMH Professor of Physical and Sports Education, Juan Antonio Moreno, facilitated several academic exchanges among research teams from Brazil, Chile, Portugal, and Spain. The project goals were met, which included the development of innovative pedagogical strategies and the formulation of a joint research plan.<\/p>\n
The research is based on a psychoeducational intervention that integrates contextual factors (teachers and peers) and personal factors (autonomy, motivation, and self-esteem) to optimize academic performance. Collaboration between the aforementioned entities ensures the applicability of these approaches in various educational contexts.<\/p>\n
In this project, a methodological framework was created based on fostering student autonomy and teacher support, thereby resulting in a research project proposal that was submitted to the Erasmus+ Capacity Building (Higher Education) call. The project was approved under the title, \u201cIntervention programme to improve the promotion of school success in physical education.\u201d<\/p>\n
The participating entities include the UMH, University of \u00c9vora, University of San Judas Tadeo, University of S\u00e3o Paulo, University of the B\u00edo B\u00edo, Catholic University of the Most Holy Conception, and UP Project Gesti\u00f3n de Proyectos.<\/p>\n
The primary objective of this program is to provide funding for the initial phase of joint international research collaboration (seed funding) through collaborative mobility by UMH faculty & research personnel and researchers from the State of S\u00e3o Paulo, funded by FAPESP, with the aim of advancing a joint long-term research project.<\/p>\n
