<\/a><\/span><\/p>\nThe Miguel Hern\u00e1ndez University of Elche (UMH) has welcomed representatives from Andr\u00e9s Bello University (UNAB) of Chile to the San Juan Campus. While there, the visitors expressed interest in exploring opportunities for cooperation in the health sciences, and more specifically, the UMH Bachelor\u2019s in Nursing program.<\/p>\n
The individuals who welcomed the Chilean delegation included UMH Director for International Promotion, Mari Carmen Lillo, as well as Associate Dean of Bachelor’s in Nursing, Mar\u00eda Concepci\u00f3n Carratal\u00e1. Andr\u00e9s Bello was represented by Dean of the Nursing School, M\u00f3nica Canales, and Director of the School of Nursing, Sara Contreras.<\/p>\n
During their visit, they toured the San Juan Campus, and at Severo Ochoa Hall, they met with Fernando Borr\u00e1s, Director of the Cyborg Experimental Center, along with members of the Service of Technical Support for Teaching and Research (SATDI), who showed the UNAB representatives the facilities and projects ongoing there.<\/p>\n
Also, during other meetings, views were exchanged on other projects that are ongoing at both the UNAB and UMH, and it was in these projects that possible avenues for collaboration in the health sciences degree programs at both institutions were sought.<\/p>\n
Andr\u00e9s Bello University, with close to 66,000 undergraduate, master\u2019s, and doctoral students, is the largest private institution in Chile. It is accredited both nationally and internationally (ANECA & Middle States Commission on Higher Education).<\/p>\n
UMH entities that helped organize the visit by Andr\u00e9s Bello University included the Vice Rectorate for Internationalization and Cooperation, Dean\u2019s Office of the Faculty of Medicine, Cyborg Experimental Center, and personnel from the Area of Clinical Simulation and the Service of Anatomic Innovation.<\/p>\n
