<\/a>Associate professor Alberto Rodr\u00edguez, Deputy Vice Rector for Internationalization, along with M\u00f3nica Candela, manager of the mobility section at the Service of International Relations and Cooperation, were participants at the International Staff Week organized by Parul University, located in the state of Gujarat, India.<\/p>\nParul University is one of India\u2019s fastest-growing private universities. It is currently home to 65,000 full-time enrolled students, and it offers a wide range of academic programs in engineering, health sciences, arts, design, and business studies, as well as a strong international focus. The strong commitment by Parul to employability, educational innovation, and internationalization warrants the UMH strategic interest in consolidating institutional collaboration with it.<\/p>\n
During their stay, as part of the Erasmus+ KA171 key actions currently underway by both universities, the UMH representatives gave an informative talk to Parul University students about academic exchange opportunities, study abroad programs, and the educational offerings at the UMH. They also met with the deans of the faculties of Engineering & Technology, Fine Arts, and the Business School, with the aim of strengthening academic cooperation and facilitating future short-term teaching stays.<\/p>\n
A working meeting was also held with Parul University\u2019s director of the Centre for International Relations & Research, and this led to the renewal and expansion of the existing collaboration agreement between both institutions. As a result of this, UMH students and faculty may participate in intensive courses lasting between one and three weeks on the Indian university campus, with all expenses covered, including accommodations, meals, educational activities, as well as a comprehensive cultural immersion program in India.<\/p>\n
This visit reinforces the UMH internationalization strategy, and it opens new opportunities for mobility, academic cooperation, and joint project development with a key institution in the Indian university system.<\/p>\n
