<\/a>On the morning of April 22, the Undergraduate Room in Arenals Hall on the Elche Campus hosted a new edition of PRODIC-UMH Networking, an event that highlighted best practices from internationalization projects carried out last academic year by faculty and students at the Miguel Hern\u00e1ndez University of Elche (UMH).<\/p>\nAfter a coffee break, the event began with opening remarks from Vicente Micol, Vice Rector for Internationalization and Cooperation. He offered an overview of the cumulative number of projects carried out in previous years under the Teaching Projects for Internationalization from Home program (PRODIC).<\/p>\n
Alberto Rodr\u00edguez, Deputy Vice Rector for Internationalization, then explained the next steps in the 2026\u20132027 PRODIC call for proposals to the faculty members in attendance\u2014both in person and online. He also provided a brief analysis of the results from previous years, before vacating the podium for the presentations to begin.<\/p>\n
The first presentation was given by Yordhana G\u00f3mez, a professor in the Master’s in Human Resources Management, Work and Organizations program (MARTHO), who has been participating in the virtual exchange program for two years with students from the University of Havana (UH). \u201cEvery well-built bridge eventually becomes a road\u201d was one of the phrases that best captured the essence of her project.<\/p>\n
Mar\u00eda Antonia Parra, a professor in the Department of Health Psychology, discussed the main challenges of the program she selected (Virtual Exchange), as well as its positive aspects in terms of multicultural learning.<\/p>\n
Next, Javier Manch\u00f3n, professor for the course, Ethics and Professional Practice, from the Bachelor\u2019s in Psychology program, focused on how the virtual exchange between the UMH and the University of the Republic (UDELAR; Uruguay) has been structured, as well as on the feedback from Spanish and Uruguayan students.<\/p>\n
This event was attended by approximately 40 participants, both online and in-person. PRODIC-UMH Networking promotes international academic collaboration by creating virtual spaces for cooperation. Through these spaces, the aim is to provide UMH students with the opportunity to benefit from an international experience without having to travel abroad.<\/p>\n
