The Miguel Hern\u00e1ndez University of Elche (UMH) participated in the Spanish Universities Road Show in Brazil and at the Study in Spain fair, organized by the Spanish Service for the Internationalization of Education (SEPIE)\u2014an agency under the Ministry of Science, Innovation, and Universities\u2014in collaboration with the Education Office of the Spanish Embassy in Brazil.<\/span><\/p>\n

These events took place April 25 – 29, visiting the cities of S\u00e3o Paulo, Bras\u00edlia, and Rio de Janeiro with the aim of strengthening ties with the Brazilian university system, considered a priority strategic partner for Spain. During these sessions, the UMH presented its academic offerings in undergraduate, master\u2019s, and doctoral programs, as well as opportunities for bilateral collaboration.<\/p>\n

At these meetings, the UMH delegation\u2014led by Mari Carmen Lillo, Director of International Promotion, and Inma Blaya, Director of the Service of International Relations and Cooperation\u2014held meetings with Brazilian public institutions, laying the groundwork for future joint projects and mobility programs.<\/p>\n

The Study in Spain Fair also served as a platform to provide information on admission requirements and campus life, sparking great interest among Brazilian students in the academic programs offered by the UMH.<\/p>\n

Likewise, representatives from Spanish universities attended a reception hosted by the Spanish Embassy in Brazil, where various topics related to university studies in Spain and university collaboration activities between the two countries were discussed.<\/p>\n

During the visit, a tour of the University of S\u00e3o Paulo also took place. Specifically, the administration of the School of Medicine welcomed the UMH delegation with the aim of strengthening and expanding collaborative activities between the two institutions.<\/p>\n

The final day at the Cervantes Institute in Rio de Janeiro brought a week of intense activity to a close, the results of which are expected to lead to the implementation of new virtual and in-person mobility programs, as well as the strengthening of bilateral university cooperation.<\/p>\n
