This activity was organized by the UMH Erasmus Experience Club, and it enjoyed participation by both incoming students from various mobility programs as well as UMH university community members.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/comunicacion.umh.es\/files\/2017\/05\/6.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-95386 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/comunicacion.umh.es\/files\/2017\/05\/6-300x169.jpg\" alt=\"6\" width=\"300\" height=\"169\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Cristian Espejo, a delegate from the UMH Bachelor\u2019s in Labor Relations and Human Resources program, accompanied the students on the trip and informed them about the <strong>island\u2019s marine biodiversity, its history, first inhabitants, and the reasons for it being established as a marine reserve in 1986<\/strong>. The students also explored the island\u2019s walls, the small islet of La Cantera, the Church of St. Peter and St. Paul, and they also swam in the island\u2019s coves.<\/p>\n<p>According to Antonio Garrido, the Erasmus Experience Club coordinator, \u201cThe objective is for UMH and Erasmus students to take a guided tour of Tabarca Island, to get to know each other and strengthen their relationships, experience our culture while we experience theirs, and to enjoy a day at the beach.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The UMH Student Delegation also collaborated in this activity.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On Sunday, May 21, 60 students from the Miguel Hern\u00e1ndez University of Elche (UMH) visited Tabarca Island.
