Representatives from twelve American universities<\/strong> visited the Miguel Hern\u00e1ndez University of Elche in order to learn first-hand about the possibilities of the UMH as a destination for students and faculty interested in carrying out international mobility programs<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The meeting began with a welcome and presentation of the UMH by Vicente Micol<\/strong>, Vice Rector for International Relations; \u00a0Maria Carmen Acosta<\/strong>, Vice Rector for Academic Affairs; Francisco Javier Moreno<\/strong>, Vice Rector for Student Affairs and Athletics; and Ausias Garrig\u00f3s<\/strong>, Deputy Vice Rector for International Relations.<\/p>\n

Afterwards, they were informed about the activities and facilities at the School of Engineering of Elche (EPSE)<\/strong> and Center for Research in Sports Sciences (CID)<\/strong>, and the representatives learned about the technology employed and the training offered at them.<\/p>\n

Due to the interest of the participants in entrepreneurial ventures and learning how the UMH supports such innovative initiatives, the UMH Foundation<\/strong> participated by offering a guided visit to some of the businesses at the UMH Scientific and Business Park, including PLD Space and Pingvalue<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The attending universities came from different locations throughout the United States, and included the states of North Carolina, Washington, California, Colorado, New York, Virginia, Georgia, Florida, and Massachusetts.<\/p>\n
