Faculty from the University of Sonora<\/a> (Hermosillo, Mexico), Fernando Tapia and Magaly Gonz\u00e1lez, and others from the University of Denver<\/a> (Colorado, USA), Oscar Somoza and Miriam Bornstein, recently visited the Miguel Hern\u00e1ndez University of Elche as part of activities organized by the Area of US Hispanic Studies<\/a>, which is part of the Miguel Hern\u00e1ndez Chair. The Vice Rectorate for International Relations promoted their visit.<\/p>\n

The visit\u2019s main objective coincided with that of the Area of US Hispanic Studies, led by Armando Migu\u00e9lez: to strengthen links with American universities and disseminate Chicano culture both inside and outside university communities, publicize the work by Miguel Hern\u00e1ndez on American continents, as well as increase university mobility by both faculty and students. Besides meeting with the UMH Vice Rector for International Relations, Vicente Micol, the group of investigators toured the Journalism and Audiovisual Communication facilities and participated in roundtables with faculty and investigators from the Faculty of Social and Legal Sciences of Elche and the Department of Social and Human Sciences.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
