TWELVE AMERICAN UNIVERSITIES VISIT THE UMH
Representatives from twelve American universities visited the Miguel Hernández University of Elche in order to learn first-hand about the possibilities of the UMH as a destination for students and faculty interested in carrying out international mobility programs.
The meeting began with a welcome and presentation of the UMH by Vicente Micol, Vice Rector for International Relations; Maria Carmen Acosta, Vice Rector for Academic Affairs; Francisco Javier Moreno, Vice Rector for Student Affairs and Athletics; and Ausias Garrigós, Deputy Vice Rector for International Relations.
Afterwards, they were informed about the activities and facilities at the School of Engineering of Elche (EPSE) and Center for Research in Sports Sciences (CID), and the representatives learned about the technology employed and the training offered at them.
Due to the interest of the participants in entrepreneurial ventures and learning how the UMH supports such innovative initiatives, the UMH Foundation participated by offering a guided visit to some of the businesses at the UMH Scientific and Business Park, including PLD Space and Pingvalue.
The attending universities came from different locations throughout the United States, and included the states of North Carolina, Washington, California, Colorado, New York, Virginia, Georgia, Florida, and Massachusetts.
