As a stakeholder in development cooperation, the Miguel Hernández University of Elche (UMH) has extensive experience in managing initiatives, programs, and projects. As such, development cooperation is an essential part of the UMH social commitment and extends into society by helping to improve people’s living conditions and supporting the development of the most disadvantaged and vulnerable communities. Furthermore, as a public service, this serves as a prime venue for cooperation and the promotion of values of solidarity, as an institution equipped with highly qualified technical and human resources. Furthermore, as a place for gathering and debate, it is a vital space for the promotion of knowledge, exchange, mutual enrichment, the promotion of human rights, respect for diversity, the fostering of solidarity and equality, and the raising of awareness about the fundamental problems and challenges of development.
