The event, directed at public and private universities, highlighted success stories and disruptive strategies
Vice Rector for International Relations at the Miguel Hernández University of Elche (UMH), Vicente Micol, was charged with inaugurating the “Strategies for University Governance” training workshop presented by the UMH in conjunction with the National Agrarian University – La Molina of Peru.
The UMH delegation that traveled to Peru also included Joaquín Pastor Pérez, Ibero-America Espejo Program Director; Fernando Borrás Rocher, Director of the Nanocursos Virtual Learning Environment; and Antonia Salinas Miralles, who is Director and Manager of the UMH Scientific Park.
During this training action, the UMH featured success stories and presented an institutional SWOT analysis on topics referring to disruptive strategies applied to university instruction, research of excellence, and knoweldge transfer, directed at rectors of public and private universities from that country, in addition to presidents of reorganizing commissions and representatives.
On September 28, and coinciding with the stay by the UMH delegation, diplomas corresponding to the “Digital Technologies and Innovation for the Agri-Food Sector” Study Abroad Program were awarded in the UNALM Rectorate Auditorium to its 2021/2022 students. Incoming students of the program were welcomed. Present at the act were some 70 students with grants of excellence from the UNALM, and the diplomas were awarded by the UNALM rector, Dr. Américo Guevara; director of internationalization, Dr. Christian Encina; and by the members of the UMH delegation.
This initiative is part of the UMH internationalization strategy in Latin America, and actions that are taking place in Peru are especially noteworthy, both in terms of teaching and in terms of research.
