The in-person and face-to-face edition of Welcome Days that took place in Arenals Halls yesterday, January 30, attracted more than 70 incoming mobility students who are going to be taking their university classes at the UMH during Spring Semester.

To the high participation and success of this in-person edition of Welcome Days, we need to mention the more than 50 students who attended an online version of Welcome Days that took place earlier this month. Both types of Welcome Days are activities organized by the Vice Rectorate for Internationalization and Cooperation along with the Service of International Relations and Cooperation.

Throughout the day’s events, the incoming students got to know one another better, and they learned of some of the university services available to them. The UMH Language Center was represented by Ana Esclapez. Laura Carbonell spoke on behalf of the Office of Athletics, and Eva Corbalán did so as a representative of Vida UMH. Other university units that participated included its libraries, the Occupational Observatory, Club Erasmus, and the Office of Culture, Equality, Diversity, and Languages.

To start Welcome Days, the Director of Mobility, África Martínez, welcomed those in attendance and encouraged them to participate in UMH activities. To conclude the event, the students took a cultural tour of Elche aboard the Tourist Train.
