UMH welcomes students from European Master in Translational Cosmetic and Dermatological Sciences
On October 4, students from the European Master in Translational Cosmetic and Dermatological Sciences (EMOTION) arrived at the Miguel Hernández University of Elche.
In the Von Humboldt Seminar Room of the Torregaitán Building on the Elche Campus, the students received words of welcome from UMH Internationalization Director, José Manuel Blanes Martínez; Coordinator of the EMOTION Master, Asia Fernández; and Director of the Service of International Relations, Development Cooperation and Volunteerism, Inmaculada Blaya.
This group, formed by students from countries including Ecuador, Malaysia, Serbia, Syria, and Sri Lanka, visited the facilities where they will undergo academic and training activities. Then they toured the Elche Campus and its main buildings, athletic facilities, libraries, green spaces, and cafeterias that comprise it. Afterwards, in the afternoon, they visited interesting areas in the city of Elche, including the Palmeral and the historic parts of the city.
This master’s program aims to educate future generations of professionals and scientists on translational skills and to instill them with the skills and competencies to work in R&D&I in the field of dermatological and cosmetic products. To achieve this objective, the program has been designed and structured to incorporate a group of scientists, academics, and professionals with complementary experiences to cover this interdisciplinary field.
Besides the UMH, the consortium making up the EMOTION master is formed by the University of Piemonte Orientale (Italy), Charité University of Berlin (Germany), and the University of Namur (Belgium). Likewise, businesses from the pharmaceutical and cosmetics sectors are also participating, enabling program students to carry out practical training and complete their final master’s projects at those firms.
