2026-2027 call for Tordesillas Group-Carolina Foundation Grants

NEW (October 12, 2026) The period to apply for grants provided by the Tordesillas Group and Carolina Foundation to jointly fund “Short research stays for individuals in possession of doctorates from Brazilian and Portuguese universities that are members of the Tordesillas Group and whose destination university is a Spanish university that is also part of the Tordesillas Group.”

The period to apply for one of these grants shall remain open through March 23, 2026 (at 12 midnight Central European Time).

Members of Tordesillas Doctoral Schools shall receive special consideration for this call.

The documentation that must be sent to apply for a grant must be sent via email to: , as only the Tordesillas Group may register the applicants. Applicants cannot entry the Fundación Carolina website until they receive validation beforehand by the Tordesillas Group.

1. The documentation required by the Tordesillas Group is described next. Interested individuals must follow the next steps to apply for the Tordesillas Group-Carolina Foundation grant:

• Write an email to , attaching the following documents belonging to the faculty member applying for the Grupo Tordesillas-Fundación Carolina grant:
• First and last name(s).
• E-mail
• Scanned copy of national ID card (passport, etc.).
• Scanned copy of applicant’s doctoral degree.
• Scanned copy of a certificate verifying the university where the applicant works.
• Name of Spanish university where the applicant wants to work along with the acceptance letter from said university, and provide the duration (in months) of the stay (minimum 1 month and maximum 3 months).

      2. Once these documents from point 1 have been submitted, the Tordesillas Group will validate your candidacy. Then, each applicant will receive an email with personal keys and instructions that enable them to access and duly complete the application form for the grant on the Fundación Carolina website.
