1 July 2024
The Service of International Relations, Development Cooperation and Volunteerism at the Miguel Hernández University of Elche (UMH) was the recipient of a Board of Trustees award for the category of Innovation in Management Actions for the service’s ‘International Week’ initiative. The service director, accepted the award from the hands of university manager, Emma Benlloch.
During the Board of Trustees award ceremony, in its 17th edition, the Service of International Relations, Development Cooperation and Volunteerism was given this award in recognition of the success and innovative nature of the activity that the International Weeks represents. This initiative consists in hosting staff and faculty from foreign universities for one work week. During said week, the service organizes a slate of activities that enable their visitors to learn better about the UMH, its services, infrastructure, work flows that are similar or equivalent to those that they perform at their places of origin, and, furthermore, it creates an extraordinary space for exchanging culture and knowledge.
The service director, Inmaculada Blaya, thanked the Board of Trustees for the award, as well as all the services and research groups that lend a hand during the International Weeks, without which, “holding this activity would not be possible.” Likewise, she recognized the role played by the entire staff at the Service of International Relations, Development Cooperation and Volunteerism as the brainchildren of the event.
