Join the Buddy Program and help exchange students get more involved at the UMH next year

The Buddy Program is about getting exchange students to incorporate into university life more easily with the help of a local student who acts as a guide in both academic and social matters. The objectives include, among others, integrating exchange students into the university, helping them adapt to UMH academic and social life, as well as getting to know new people, their languages, customs, their culture.

To sign up all you need to do is fill out this form.

Among the advantages of signing up are receiving an extra point for the Erasmus call, forming part of the Club Erasmus, practicing new languages, meeting new people, and learning about new cultures.

Furthermore, being a buddy who ‘hosts’ foreign students entails a set of functions to perform. These include helping the exchange student as much as possible, welcoming him or her and showing him or her how to move around the campus, helping in the search for housing (UMH accommodation advantages), integrating them into environments where young people congregate, both on campus as well as in social settings; and also introducing him or her to Spanish culture, until the exchange students becomes a part of it.
