The Miguel Hernández University of Elche (UMH), through its Deputy Vice Rector for Internationalization, Alberto Rodríguez; Director of the Service of International Relations, Development Cooperation and Volunteerism, Inma Blaya; and mobility technician, Mónica Candela; worked to grow and strengthen UMH alliances with universities from all over the world at the recent 2024 EAIE Annual Conference and Exhibition, which was just held in Toulouse, France.

“We met with Asian, European, Latin American, and African universities to facilitate new routes for collaboration and to enable students and university community members to carry out activities at foreign universities,” explains Blaya. She also highlighted the 30-plus meetings the UMH delegation held during the week (37% with European universities, 23% Asian, 20% Latin American, 10% non-EU European, and 3% African).

These meetings took place within the framework of the NeurotechEU European alliance, and the event also facilitated improving best management and internationalization practices.

During the event, there were panel discussions, work sessions, workshops, and exhibitions, and these enabled the UMH to demonstrate its commitment with internationalization, one of the strategic pillars of its institutional plan.

This UMH participation represents another part of its internationalization efforts to foster ever more global and sustainable mobility with every world continent.
