Yesterday, March 17, the Miguel Hernández University of Elche (UMH) welcomed Vice Rector for Research and Scientific Policy from San Sebastián Autonomous University (UASS; San Lorenzo, Paraguay), Igor Protsenko, with the goal of improving and expanding collaboration agreements for exchanges of students and faculty from both academic institutions.

Throughout the morning, Protsenko held meetings with UMH Deputy Vice Rector for Internationalization, Alberto Rodríguez; representatives from the Faculty of Social and Legal Sciences of Elche, including its Dean, Carmen Victoria Escolano; Director of the Service of International Relations and Cooperation, Inmaculada Blaya; and mobility technician, Mónica Candela.

These meetings, organized by the faculty, focused on academic and scientific collaboration in different areas of law, formulating projects of common interest by both institutions, and to collaborate in the proposal of a KA171 project, as well as expanding this union to other areas of interest between both universities.

San Sebastián Autonomous University is a young university that was formed in 2007. Despite its brief existence, it has earned wide support and recognition by the Paraguayan society with the comprehensive range of undergraduate and graduate programs it offers.
