UMH expands and consolidates international agreements at conference with more than 7,000 universities

Last Friday, September 12, 2025, the Miguel Hernández University of Elche (UMH) concluded its participation at the 2025 European Association for International Education Conference and Exhibition, held on this occasion in the Swedish city of Gothenburg. There, the UMH formalized several agreements with universities from India and South Korea, among other countries, for student exchanges.

Over the course of four days, the delegation formed by Deputy Vice Rector for Internationalization, Alberto Rodríguez; Director of the Service of International Relations and Cooperation, Inmaculada Blaya; and head of the Section of Mobility, Mónica Candela; also signed new agreements for collaboration and exchanges for students with other universities, including those from Morocco, Argentina, Colombia, Mexico, and the Dominican Republic.

In Gothenburg, the UMH delegation also met with its European, American, Asian, and African partners to consolidate and expand existing mobility agreements and institutional relationships. Furthermore, the UMH also worked the booth of the European University of Brain and Technology (NeurotechEU), together with the European university alliances of The Green European University and The European University of the Seas (SEA-EU). There, in the booth, the NeurotechEU representatives were able to learn better about these alliances and demonstrate their roles in advancing international higher education through collaboration and innovation.

The annual EAIE Conference and Exhibition conference brings together more 7000 universities from over one hundred countries and serves as a promotional showcase to internationalize the UMH and secure agreements from all around the world to benefit the entire university community.
