UMH to hold event in October on impact of new technologies in driving progress through development cooperation

On October 22 & 23, 2025, La Valona Hall on the UMH Elche Campus is hosting the ninth edition of University of the Fall, held on this occasion under the slogan of “Digital Bridges: Technologies, Cooperation and Global Transformation.” This event is going to analyze the potential of new technologies to be tools driving progress in developing counties, generating as many opportunities as challenges in training and employment.
These workshops, organized by the five Valencian public universities in conjunction with the Generalitat Valenciana, are featuring experts and professionals in the field who are going to address how cooperation and can and must facilitate access to technology, while also addressing ethical and governance issues that are part of this new scenario.
Participation at these workshops costs 20 euros for the community (students, staff, faculty, and alumni) of the five public Valencian universities as well as for NGOs. The cost for everyone else to attend these workshops, which includes attendance to all of its events, coffee breaks, and lunch for those present, is 25 euros. What’s more is that UMH students who attend can earn credits towards their undergraduate programs.
