Polytech Lille (France) and UMH strengthen ties to design strategies for student internationalization

INTERNATIONALIZATION

25 February 2026

The Miguel Hernández University of Elche (UMH) hosted a visit by representatives from Lille Polytechnic School (Polytech Lille), during which they began to design internationalization strategies for students from both institutions.

Alberto Rodríguez, Deputy Vice Rector for Internationalization; along with José María Azorín, Deputy Vice Rector for Research – Management Of Research; welcomed the French delegation, which was comprised of Jeremie Dequidt, Head of International Relations; and Chloé Delattre, an administrator of international projects.

These initiatives focus on knowledge exchange from home through COIL (Collaborative Online International Learning) programs organized by the UMH. These programs are part of the Teaching Projects for Internationalization at Home Program (PRODIC), funded by the UMH Vice Rectorate for Internationalization and Cooperation.

During their two-day visit, they toured the Elche Campus and the School of Engineering of Elche (EPSE), accompanied by its director, José María Sabater Navarro. Later, at Valverde Hall, Azorín introduced them to the facilities and ongoing projects at the Brain-Machine Interface Systems Research Laboratory.

This visit is part of The European University of Brain and Technology (NeurotechEU), a European alliance that promotes education and training for future professionals and researchers in the field of neurotechnology. Moreover, Polytech Lille maintains an Erasmus+ agreement with the UMH, and every year two or three students from the French university come to the UMH to study.
