The Rector of the Miguel Hernández University of Elche (UMH), Juan José Ruiz, welcomed his counterpart, the Rector of El Bosque University of Colombia (UEB), Miguel Ruiz Rubiano, as the institutions signed a framework agreement to explore the possibility of expanding student exchange programs between both universities. Other UMH representatives present at the reception included Vice Rector for Internationalization and Cooperation, Vicente Micol; Dean of the Faculty of Social and Legal Sciences of Elche, Carmen Victoria Escolano; and Associate Dean of Coordination and Internationalization of the same faculty, Rafael Doménech.

This meeting served to strengthen institutional ties, join forces, and formalize the agreement between the UMH and the UEB. At the same time, representatives from the Faculty of Social and Legal Sciences of Elche presented the UMH Bachelor’s in Business Administration and Management (ADE) program and provided information on the upcoming launch of a new international dual ADE program in collaboration with a Latin American university. In this vein, the feasibility of future dual degree agreements between the UMH and the Colombian university were explored, which would allow both academic institutions to expand their cooperation in internationalization.

El Bosque University, located in Bogotá, was founded in 1977, and it maintains constant exchanges of students in undergraduate programs that include fine arts, political science, and public administration, among others.
