UMH Participates at 2026 Polish–Spanish Picnic for Erasmus+ Alumni
25 June 2026
The director of the Service of International Relations and Cooperation at the Miguel Hernández University of Elche (UMH), Inma Blaya, attended the 2026 Polish–Spanish Picnic for Erasmus+ Alumni on June 19, 2026, in Warsaw, Poland. This event was organized by the Ministry of Education at the Spanish Embassy in Poland, the Spanish Service for the Internationalization of Education (SEPIE), in conjunction with the Polish Foundation for the Development of the Education System (FRSE).
This event aimed to strengthen ties, relive memories from college days, and expand the network of contacts within the country. During the event, Blaya participated in a panel discussion on Erasmus+. Others in attendance included UMH alumni from the Master’s in Agro-Food Technology and Quality and the Bachelor’s in Medicine programs.
In addition to two panel discussions, the program offered cultural activities and a space for networking so the alumni community could once again connect. Blaya notes that the choice of activities was a tremendous success, featuring dynamic, entertaining, and interesting workshops.
The success of this event demonstrates that we must continue to work steadfastly in this direction, both in close collaboration with SEPIE and through the universities’ own active efforts. For these institutions, the International Alumni Network is a key resource for maintaining ties with the community abroad, thereby achieving a fundamental goal: transforming mobility experiences into long-term, mutually beneficial relationships.
