More than 100 people in attendance at the Club Erasmus International Dinner
On Friday, November 16, the UMH Erasmus Club Experience, which is managed by the Vice Rectorate for International Relations at the Miguel Hernández University of Elche (UMH), held its international dinner for incoming students at the UMH. More than 100 people attended, and included exchange students from the Erasmus, Destino (intercontinental mobility), and SICUE (mobility within Spain) programs, in addition to buddies for some of the exchange program participants.
Also attending the event, which took place in the Innova building, were Vice Rector for International Relations, Vicente Micol, and Inma Blaya, Director of the Service of International Relations, Development Cooperation and Volunteerism. They both welcomed the incoming students and invited them to participate in the various activities offered by the UMH. Then Alicia Espigares, Erasmus Club coordinator, energized the crowd and thanked UMH students and alumni who collaborated in its organization.
The dinner guests represented more than 15 nationalities, and they brought and shared typical gastronomy from each’s culture. The dinner’s organizers then judged these dishes, and awards were given to three of them for their originality, quality, and presentation. During the evening, various get-to-know-you games were played to facilitate the event into becoming an icebreaking meeting point for the incoming students.
