Registration period open for University of the Fall V: Focus on Gender, Interculturality and 2030 Agenda

The registration period is now open for the University of the Fall V: Focus on Gender, Interculturality and 2030 Agenda. This is an interuniversity cooperation workshop organized by the five public universities of the Valencian Community in conjunction with the Generalitat Valenciana. This workshop will be held at the Universitat Jaume I in Castellón on December 1, 2, and 3, 2021.

In this workshop, which have been held since 2017, the participating universities aim to shed light on the Sustainable Development Goals from the 2030 Agenda of the United Nations. The SDGs aim to eradicate poverty, protect planet Earth, and encourage sustainable and egalitarian development, which will enable all the world’s peoples to enjoy peace and prosperity by 2030. The University of the Fall will reflect on the realities of international development cooperation and the need to propose strategies from transversal focuses in order to achieve the SDGs.

Registration for this workshop costs 20€. This fee covers workshop attendance, coffee breaks, and lunch meals for the people in attendance.

The Vice Rectorate for International Relations at the UMH will assume the costs for travel, room & board, plus maintenance for the first 10 people who register, before November 22, via the following registration*:

Individuals who are not among the first 10 to register will placed on a waitlist, to occupy that list of 10 in case any of the first 10 registrations renounce workshop participation.

Attendance at this workshop provides for recognition of transversal credits for UMH undergraduate students.

This action forms part of the University Development Cooperation Program at the UMH, which is subsidized by the Directorate General of International Development Cooperation, of the Ministry of Participation, Transparency, Cooperation and Democratic Quality at the Generalitat Valenciana.

*The travel costs include journey via train (round trip) between Alicante and Castellón, two nights at a hotel to be determined by the organization, and dinner for 2 nights. In case funding allows, the UMH may cover travel costs of workshop participants between their homes and the Alicante train station.
