UMH Participates in the Festival of the Volunteer

The Miguel Hernández University of Elche (UMH) is participating in the Festival of the Volunteer on Saturday, December 11, at the Navarro Rodrigo Plaza (Benalúa) in Alicante, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

This event, being organized by the Volunteer Platform of the Valencian Community (PVCV), aims to commemorate International Volunteer Day, recognize tasks that volunteers perform, and raise awareness within the population about their importance.

During this event, volunteers from the programs of UMH in Rwanda, La UMHteAcompaña (UMH Accompanies You), and Sustainable UMH will offer information about those programs and recount their experiences in the stand that has been set up by this university.

Moreover, citizens can inform themselves about the various types of volunteers, participate in 12 different workshops, and enjoy percussionists performing a batucada that is sure to liven up the morning.

The Volunteer Platform of the Valencian Community is a non-profit network of entities that are linked by the common nexus of volunteering, with the intention of fostering and promoting volunteering efforts in society.
