UMH Researchers Participate in Ecuador in a Seminar on Sustainable Agricultural Development

‘Educational, Social, and Technological Innovations for Sustainable Agricultural Development and Cooperation in Rural Areas of the Ecuadorian and Brazilian Amazon’ is the name of the seminar in which researchers from the University Institute for Agro-food and Agro-environmental Research and Innovation (CIAGRO) at the Miguel Hernández University of Elche (UMH), Antonio Ruiz and Amparo Melián, were participants. This event took place in Ambato and Puyo (Ecuador), as part of the Erasmus+ Capacity Building Project by the name of ICOOPEB.

This initiative brought together an international team of researchers committed to advancing sustainable practices in agriculture and strengthening cooperation within these regions. The team is comprised of academics and researchers from France, Spain, Brazil, and Ecuador. In addition to the UMH, other participating universities included the University of Le Mans, University of Alicante, Central University of Ecuador, Federal University of Amapá, Autonomous Regional University of the Andes, Federal University of Pará, Federal Rural University of Amazonia, as well as some research centers, including the Cirad.

The ICOOPEB initiative is an Erasmus project co-funded by the European Union and promoted by the Vice Rectorate for Internationalization and Cooperation at the UMH.
