Club Erasmus offers an intercultural get-together to exchange language
19 April 2024
The Club Erasmus, which is managed by the Service of International Relations, Development Cooperation and Volunteerism at the Miguel Hernández University of Elche (UMH), is putting on ‘Bla Bla Bla at the UMH,’ an intercultural language get-together, which is taking place this Friday, April 19, between 6 – 8 p.m. local time, in Room 0.8 of the Altabix Building.
With this event, the Club Erasmus aims to create an informal and relaxing atmosphere for incoming students to better get to know one other by highlighting their differences. Learning new languages is the perfect opportunity to form bonds with these very students who, as recent arrivals at the UMH, are fully engaged in the adaptation process at our university.
The main objective of the Club Erasmus is to facilitate the integration of incoming students at the UMH. To accomplish this, it is charged with organizing social and cultural activities that enable them to meet each other and forge friendships, as well as learning better about UMH surroundings. The Club Erasmus runs the Buddy program, which allows local UMH students to tutor and guide non-local incoming students, thereby assisting them in managing their arrival and initial adaptation at the UMH.
