The Miguel Hernández University of Elche (UMH), through associate professor Fernando Borrás, is offering training for senior management at other universities on university governance, internationalization, and artificial intelligence that is planned to begin in March 2025 and continue until October of this year.

The initial training sessions start March 26, April 2, and April 9. These sessions are given online, are free of charge, and are part of the sixth online edition of the “Strategies for University Governance” study abroad program for senior university management teams. Their contents focus on teaching innovation and university rankings, among other aspects.

Then, May, June, and July 2025 (again online and free of charge) are the dates for online training entitled “Tools for University Governance.” This is directed at university administrative and services personnel and it is going to address topics related to marketing, employability, and technology.

In-person and face-to-face training efforts begin later, in October of this year. This is the date for the “Internationalization, Scientific Park Management, and Artificial Intelligence” training endeavor. This is offering workshops on the impact of artificial intelligence at universities, the Sustainable Development Goals, as well as guided tours around Elche and gastronomical events.

The School of University Governance at the UMH aims to forge a space for strengthening leadership capabilities at higher education institutions, promote innovation in educational practices, foster research excellence, and enhance processes of knowledge transfer, all driven by digitization and artificial intelligence.
