21 March 2025
Yesterday, La Galia Hall on the Elche Campus played host to a new edition of ‘PRODIC-UMH Networking,’ an event that highlighted best practices from internationalization projects carried out last year by faculty and students from the Miguel Hernández University of Elche (UMH).
This event began with words of welcome by Deputy Vice Rector for Internationalization, Alberto Rodríguez. These were followed by online presentations, the first of which was delivered by Bibiana Sánchez, from the Department of Art, who detailed her project, ‘Cross the Pond. Exchange of Knowledge from One Side to the Other: Spain/Colombia/Argentina.’
Then, Associate Professor of Economics, Carmen Victoria Escolano, led a seminar related to economic topics in which three speakers from Ibero-American universities also participated. Elena Crespo, Associate Professor of International Public Law, detailed proposals by young people to address violence against women. The contribution by Professor of Medicine, José Manuel Ramos, commented on virtual exchanges on medical semiology between the UMH and the National University of the Peruvian Amazon (UNAP).
This event featured 25 speakers, both online and in-person. PRODIC-UMH Networking promotes international teaching collaboration by creating virtual collaborative spaces. These spaces aim to provide UMH students with opportunities to benefit from internationalization experiences without the need for physical mobility.
