UMH meets with Chinese universities for potential student and faculty exchanges

Last week, over July 7 – 11, 2025, the Miguel Hernández University of Elche (UMH), as represented by Vice Rector for Internationalization and Cooperation, Vicente Micol, and accompanied by Deputy Vice Rector for Internationalization, Alberto Rodríguez, held meetings with a delegation of Chinese higher education institutions, which included Hunan University, Zhengzhou University, and the Nanyang Institute of Technology.
The representatives from the Asian institutions, during several working meetings, expressed interest in forging potential collaboration efforts in the future. While here, they toured the Elche Campus and became familiar with the local surroundings of the city of Elche.
In all, these 3 universities enroll close to 120,000 students. Hunan University currently sits at #109 in the U.S. News 2025-2026 Best Global Universities Rankings. Zhengzhou University operates over 330 scientific research institutes of all levels.
