Start to new edition of Erasmus Mundus Master of Science in Skin Health and Care program with top students hailing from four continents

The Miguel Hernández University of Elche (UMH) has welcomed the graduate students from the Erasmus Mundus European Master of Science in Skin Health and Care (aka, EMOTION) that is part of the Erasmus Mundus program, and whose classes began Wednesday, September 24.
The Misteri d’Elx Room in Torrevaillo Hall on the Elche Campus marked the start to this new edition. A warm welcome to the students was given by Vice Rector for Internationalization and Cooperation, Vicente Micol. He encouraged the students present to make the most in learning about the cultural patrimony of the city of Elche as well as break new ground in these new and unfamiliar settings.
Accompanying Micol was Asia Fernández, the master’s coordinator, and she spoke to the students about what they can expect from the program at the UMH. Accompanying these two were other UMH personnel, and they took time to inform the EMOTION students about some of the services offered by the UMH in terms of employment, athletics, culture, and leisure. These individuals included Elías Poveda, a technician from the Service of International Relations and Cooperation; Eva Corbalán, from UMH Life; plus Lola López and Ana Martínez, technicians from the Occupational Observatory.
In this, the latest edition of EMOTION, students come from many parts of the world. Countries represented include Bangladesh, Colombia, Egypt, Indonesia, Mexico, Pakistan, Russia, Spain, Italy, and Thailand.
During yesterday’s welcome, the EMOTION students were also able to tour the UMH Elche Campus, and afterwards, they enjoyed a guided tour around the history city center of Elche.
This graduate program receives funding from the Erasmus+ program at the European Commission. EMOTION is two years in length, it is a joint program, and besides UMH, it is taught in conjunction with the University of Namur (Belgium) the University of Eastern Piedmont (Italy).
