UMH coordinates new network for Ibero-American pharmaceutical education collaboration via the AUIP

Daniela Navarro, Associate Dean of International Projection for the Bachelor’s in Pharmacy at the Miguel Hernández University of Elche (UMH), with institutional backing by the Dean’s Office at the Faculty of Pharmacy and the Vice Rectorate for Internationalization and Cooperation, is going to coordinate the new Ibero-American Network for Research, Innovation, and Drug Development of the Ibero-American Conference of Faculties of Pharmacy (RIIDeMe).

The Ibero-American Graduate University Association (AUIP) has provided a financial grant for the creation of this project, which arises with the aim of consolidating a space for scientific collaboration between Europe and Latin America.

This strategic alliance seeks to strengthen scientific exchange between participating universities, enhance technical cooperation for the implementation of joint non-profit research projects, and drive innovation in drug development to address global health challenges.

The organization emphasizes that this structure “is not only an opportunity for pharmaceutical innovation, but also a vital link between scientists on both sides of the Atlantic to improve global health.” With support by the AUIP, RIIDeMe is positioning itself as a benchmark in knowledge transfer and cohesion within the Ibero-American pharmaceutical community.

This network stands out for its extensive geographic and human range—its members include 37 investigators from 11 countries, including Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Costa Rica, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru, Portugal, Puerto Rico (USA), Spain, and Venezuela.

The UMH Vice Rectorate for Internationalization and Cooperation will continue providing information about and promoting collaborative activities with the AUIP.
