UMH Club Erasmus Brings together Cultures from around the World at Latest International Brunch
1 April 2026
On Friday, March 29, the Club Erasmus and the Service of International Relations and Cooperation at the UMH offered the second edition of their International Brunch. This event, which invited incoming exchange and Buddy program students, brought to Arenals Hall around 70 students from 20 different nationalities.
This foody activity brings students together by their countries of origin and then they work on teams to prepare a traditional dish from their home cuisine. Goulash, chilaquiles, and cornbread were just a few examples of the many international dishes featured at a brunch that was inaugurated by Vicente Micol, UMH Vice Rector for Internationalization and Cooperation.
In addition to preparing dishes, each country competed in other events. These included karaoke and various language games, which aimed to broaden general knowledge in the students present.
The participants highlighted this event as an opportunity to discover new cultures and meet people in a multicultural setting that brought together students from the Buddy Erasmus, SICUE, and Destino mobility programs who are currently studying at the UMH.
The Erasmus Club organizes activities such as these throughout the academic year, in conjunction with the buddies. Upcoming events include visits to various cultural and recreational sites in the Province of Alicante for the remainder of the school year.
