The Miguel Hernández University of Elche (UMH) has welcomed the graduate students from the Erasmus Mundus European Master of Science in Skin Health and Care (aka, EMOTION) that is part of the Erasmus Mundus program.

The Seminar Room in Torregaitán Hall on the Elche Campus marked the start to the latest edition of this graduate program. There, Vice Rector for Internationalization and Cooperation, Vicente Micol, gave the students a warm welcome and he encouraged those present to make the most in learning about the cultural history of the city of Elche as well as break new ground in these new and unfamiliar settings.

Other individuals accompanying Micol included Asia Fernández, the master’s coordinator; Elías Poveda, from the Service of International Relations and Cooperation; Eva Corbalán, from UMH Life; and two Computer Infrastructure Service employees. They rounded out the welcome by showcasing the various services that the UMH offers its students. Next Wednesday, the Occupational Observatory is meeting with the EMOTION students to inform them about the services the Observatory can offer these students.

For this edition of EMOTION, students have come from many parts of the world. Countries represented included Bangladesh, Brazil, China, Colombia, Ecuador, Guatemala, India, Indonesia, Mexico, Russia, Spain, Sri Lanka, and the United States.

The EMOTION students were also able to tour the UMH Elche Campus, and afterwards, they enjoyed a guided tour around the history city center of Elche.

This graduate program receives funding from the Erasmus+ program at the European Commission. EMOTION is a joint program, it is two years in length, and it is taught in conjunction with the University of Namur (Belgium) the University of Eastern Piedmont (Italy), and the UMH.
