Third call for volunteers for #LaUMHteacompaña program

The Miguel Hernández University of Elche, its Area of Development Cooperation and Volunteerism, along with the Vice Rectorate for International Relations, in conjunction with the Spanish Red Cross, have hereby opened the third call for volunteers for the #LaUMHteAcompaña program.

Because of the events and the social problems that the pandemic is provoking within the population, this program aims to provide emotional support via telephone calls and help alleviate emotional problems and stress, particularly in elders, but also in all kinds of people who find themselves in situations of greater vulnerability.

Volunteers may be both male and female; they may be UMH undergraduate students and alumni of the programs of Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Medicine, Pharmacy, and Physiotherapy. Volunteers may also be graduate students and alumni of the programs of Gerontology and Health, Health Management, Occupational Therapy in Neurology, Primary Health Care Research, Clinical Medicine Research, and General Health Psychology. Volunteers may also be faculty from any of these programs.

If you are interested in participating as a volunteer in this program, and to contribute as such to improve the mental situation in this especially vulnerable group during this crisis, please complete this Form before November 15, 2021.
