Universities play a fundamental role in the formation of socially responsible citizens, people who recognize and are committed to the issues and challenges emanating from a globalized world. Consequently, the objective of the Area of Development Cooperation and Volunteerism at the UMH is to facilitate university community members, especially its students, as well as society in general, with involvement in university development cooperation efforts, and participation as volunteers in its programs and in programs of other organizations from the tertiary sector.

The UMH, through its Area of Development Cooperation and Volunteerism, includes among its basic commitments that of raising awareness, not only within the university community, but also throughout its surroundings, in terms of social involvement and development cooperation. In this section, may consult all of the activities, efforts, workshops, and training efforts by this university’s Area of Development Cooperation and Volunteerism, as well as those of foundations, associations, NGOs, and development NGOs, via which the university and non-university community alike may train with and participate in activities.
