Representatives from the Miguel Hernández University of Elche (UMH) are currently participating at the 2019 European Association for International Education Conference and Exhibition to publicize the academic and training opportunities available at this university. Inma Blaya, the director of the Service of International Relations, Development Cooperation and Volunteerism, and Ursula Kress, a technician from the same service, have traveled to Helsinki, Finland where they are planning on meeting with at least 50 universities and academic organizations.

Their meetings aim to strengthen relationships between institutions with which the UMH already maintains mobility agreements, as well as advance future agreements with other European, Asian, and American universities. Over four days, the Elche university representatives intend to continue expanding networks for UMH internationalization that enhance mobility options for the university community and welcome international students and professionals.

The 31st Annual EAIE Conference and Exhibition has attracted academic institutions from all over the world. In addition to networking opportunities, numerous training and promotional activities are taking place for the more than 6,000 people in attendance.
